Now this isn’t to say that the BBB isn’t credible, it’s just wiser to do more research rather than base your decision on one consumer advocacy groups rating.
What was impressive and odd to see was that Modern Coin Mart had no complaints or customer reviews. Most precious metals companies and dealers we’ve reviewed all have at least 1 complaint. It’s just odd to see a company that was launched in 2004 with absolutely no complaints.

Modern Coin Mart Reviews seize to exist on Trustlink, another big consumer advocacy group that prides itself on protecting consumers. This is not a good sign of credibility. Up until this point we’ve found no reviews on Modern Coin Mart aside from the client reviews they have on their website. These reviews are probably biased towards shining a positive light on the company as any other business would do.
It’s Not All That Bad
They offer a wide selection of coins and bullion from all around the world. They have rare coins from dimes, nickles, and rare quarters. They even carry America Eagle Coins in Silver, Gold and Platinum as well. If you consider yourself to be a modern numismatic investor, they do have a quality selection to choose from. They also offer a step by step IRA guide on how to open your own Gold Backed IRA for the investor who is looking to add precious metals to their portfolio.
Huge Lack of Information
The bottom line is that there is a huge lack of information from Modern Coin Mart. There seems to be no evidence from a credible resource (negative or positive) that would indicate that this is a trustworthy company.
